turkiye

Out of 5 states kapadokya is definitely a winner;
Seluas saujana mata memandang
the "silence" that got me for good
And the dogs
they're everywhere!

Kusadasi is full of brightly painted summer houses which is empty this time of the year
obviously because it's autumn
and the loaded British men are not using it yet
It's pretty to look at and the beach is okay lah
and I cannot tahan the guard dogs
they followed us one morning
and kejar *main kejar2 sampai nak tercabut jantung
luckily got back to the hotel in one piece
oii takut gila masa tu

Pamukkale simply means cotton castle
It's the largest roman thermal spring water
in a massive city called hieropolis
I have to walk like 10 minutes from the back entrance to the actual spring water
the limestone formation is surprisingly not slippery at all
quite enjoyed walking barefoot on those cottons la sgt
spent 2 hours rendam kaki jalan jalan
ambil gambar
:)

After 4 hours drive through konya to ankara
visited the moeusleum of kemal ataturk the 1st president of turkey
he was the hero to the turks until present
Kira mcm tuanku abdul rahman bapa kemerdekaan
The place was enormous; 2 hours is not enough to read each and every contribution that he had done for the turks..
handsome jugak dia masa muda *eh? Eh?

And finally that friday night we've reached istanbul after 9 long hours drive
we're greeted by heavy rain and traffic
much worse than the ones in kuala lumpur
Fell asleep like a 100 times before reaching our hotel in the fatih area
The rain continued sampai noon keesokannya
I am so frustrated sebab tak dapat shoot sunrise pagi tu
but it's normal to rain in autumn
autumn kot
that evening we've checked in a new hotel near sultanahmet behind the blue mosque

Walked like mad lady in istanbul with my mom
No maps no gps
just good old sense of direction *and a lot of shouting and simit
And we've manage to get to Galata tower, eat fresh seafood at a local market,  shopped at both egyptian and grand bazaar, went in and out museums, pray inside beautiful mosques, drink cay, eat kababs, turkish delight, ice cream..banyak la ktorg buat
And now I know why you left half of your soul in gulhane parki
in the fountain between st sophia and sultanahmet camii
in Istanbul

Being able to walk and stand where the ottoman empire once stood
Al-Fateh once lived and ruled
that one feeling that I have at that time was satisfaction
and a little sebak
how can a country/ city that was once being a centre that was so great
can now be a country that Islam is put 2nd
land that is blessed with flowing crops all year round
and beautiful geographical landscapes
Allahuakbar

I'll come back;
I promise
